It is often a great challenge for regional hospitals in Mozambique to supply their community health posts with medication.
Besides treating patients and performing operations, the regional
hospitals in southern Mozambique play a key role in keeping their
community health posts supplied with medication. Due to the lack of
infrastructure, this is a very difficult task. Many times the vehicles
with the medication get stuck in sand or mud and never reach their
destinations. For this reason, air transport is vital.
“Again and again I’m amazed by the thankfulness of the rural
population for this urgently needed medicine,” says Mercy Air load
master Michael Aebi.
Thank you.
Michael and Sarah Aebi.
